National Science Olympiad
National Science Olympiad is organized every year by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) which is a non-profit organization based in New Delhi the capital of India. NSO is an exam which motivates the students every year so that they can better in their subjects with much deeper knowledge on the scientific data and facts which will help the school students to crack all competitive exams after they get out of the schools. This exam will increase the analytical, problem solving and reasoning acumen of the students which is very essential in all other National and International level. A student can participate in this test from standard 1 till standard 12 and any interested candidate may register themselves on the form which is sent to respective schools.
Schools which are registered with SOF will receive the prospectus along with the registration forms and even if the schools which are not registered can secure the registration form by contact SOF through email or by phone calls. The schools must return all the forms duly filled to SOF. The school’s coordinating teacher generates the roll number for the students and then the copy of the roll numbers, School registration Sheet and School Registration form is sent to SOF. Minimum 10 students must register from each school. SOF then sends the question papers and the guidelines to the school’s Principal or Teachers. Any school can be the center for the examination and the exams can be conducted on three dates for the Level 1 exam. Each school must select a date but later change of dates are not allowed. Students must register for the exam through schools only and not on an individual level. One can prepare for the exam through sample question papers which are available in the market. This exam enables the students to prepare themselves at a higher level and expand their knowledge on the subjects.
